The powerful amplifier section features custom made discrete monolithic amplifiers with DHCT (Denon High Current Transistors). Rated at 205 watts per channel, the AVR-X6200W has the ability to drive lower impedance 4 ohm speakers on all channels.

Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with dual diversity antennas, the AVR-X6200W lets you listen to your favourite music from streaming services including Spotify Connect, and you can listen to any of thousands of internet radio stations. You can also stream your favourite tracks wirelessly from your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad via AirPlay.

Connect to the internet through your home Wi-Fi network (or with a hard-wired connection via the RJ-45 Ethernet LAN port) and enjoy your favourite tracks from streaming music services such as Spotify Connect. You can also choose from thousands of internet radio stations around the world, and enjoy music from virtually every genre. With AirPlay, you can enjoy listing to your favourite tracks wirelessly from your iOS device, including the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, and the AVR-X6200W is also DLNA 1.5 certified for compatibility with your home PC or Mac. Equipped with 8 HDMI inputs, including 1 conveniently located on the front panel, along with three HDMI outputs, the AVR-X6200W incorporates an advanced video processor that features support for 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz full rate video, 4:4:4 Pure Color subsampling and 21:9 video pass-through, along with support for 3D content, HDR and BT.2020. The AVR-X6200W also features HDCP 2.2 compatibility on all HDMI inputs, a requirement for 4K Ultra HD copy-protected content. And, the video processor can also upscale analogue and digital SD and HD video to 4K Ultra HD. Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation, the AVR-X6200W features a full suite of video calibration controls (for use by an ISF technician), along with ISF Day and ISF Night video modes.

Dolby Atmos Built-In; DTS:X Ready

Dolby's new Atmos surround sound technology dispenses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space. Now, you can enjoy this same award-winning technology at home with the AVR-X6200W, which features the ability to connect a 5.1 surround sound speaker system and 4 additional overhead speakers or 4 additional Dolby Atmos elevation speakers for the ultimate home theater experience. Thanks to the 11ch processing capability, you can just add an external 2-channel amplifier and even enjoy a thrilling 7.1.4 or 9.1.2 channel Atmos experience. Along with Dolby Atmos decoding and Dolby Surround Upmixing, the AVR-X6200W also features Dolby TrueHD lossless decoding and other Dolby Digital technologies.

The latest immersive surround sound system, DTS:X, features object-based audio coding that lets the sound designer place sonic elements anywhere in the 3D acoustic soundspace, and provides for overhead speakers to deliver a stunning surround sound experience, and the AVR-X6200W also features DTS-HD Master Audio and other DTS technologies. Auro-3D Upgradeable

By fully immersing the listener in a cocoon of life-like sound, Auro-3D puts you right in the middle of the action. Auro-3D provides an immersive surround sound experience thanks to dedicated height and overhead channels, in addition to the regular channels. The height information, captured in recording or created during the mixing process, is mixed into a standard 5.1 PCM stream that comes with a regular Blu-ray. Moreover, the Auro-3D Engine combines different technologies to guarantee an optimum 3D sound experience generated both natively and from existing audio content. It recognizes mono, stereo, 5.1 surround or an Auro-encoded signal and transforms them into 3D audio. Once upgraded with the Auro-Codec decoder, the Denon AVR-X6200W is capable of decoding the original Auro-3D mix and playing back an Auro-3D 10.1 channel configuration (with external amplifier). Powerful 9 Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode

With each channel rated at a maximum power of 205 watts, the AVR-X6200W features a monolithic power amplifier design with Denon custom made transistors and identical circuit topology on all 9 channels. Our new Eco Mode provides the ability to reduce overall power consumption and features an on-screen Eco Meter that lets you see the power consumption reduction effect. The Auto Eco mode automatically switches between normal and Eco modes, depending on the volume level chosen, and the power amplifier block is rated to drive low impedance speaker loads, down to 4 ohms, for compatibility and stability with virtually any loudspeaker model.

Powerful DSP

In order to properly handle the multitude of advanced digital audio decoding and processing functions, the AVR-X6200W features an sophisticated DSP audio processing system that incorporates no less than 4 powerful high speed fourth generation SHARC DSP processors, which together have a combined continuous processing capability of 10 GFLOPS (10 billion floating point numerical computations per second).

Audyssey MultEQ XT32 (Pro ready)

The AVR-X6200W features the Audyssey MultEQ XT32 suite of DSP functions, which includes room equalisation, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system matches your speakers to your room’s acoustics, for the smoothest, most natural tonal balance. Audyssey Sub EQ HT allows proper integration of two subwoofers in their home theater systems for rich, full bass that covers a wide listening area. Audyssey Dynamic EQ uses advanced psychoacoustic algorithms to continually adjust tonal balance so that the sound you hear is full range, even at lower volume levels, and Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out annoying volume jumps, especially with loud commercials. Audyssey LFC prevents bass from passing your walls and disturbing your neighbours while maintaining the bass performance in the listening room. Denon Link HD; AL24 Processing Plus

When connected to a compatible Denon Blu-ray player, our exclusive Denon Link HD system provides a dedicated pathway for the critical timing data to eliminate distortion caused by jitter errors in the main data stream. Denon’s exclusive AL24+ audio processing provides ultra high resolution digital audio filtering and precision tailoring of the main (L/R) audio channels, to deliver shimmering detail in the highs, along with smooth natural midrange and a broad soundstage with improved imaging.

Multiroom / Multisource

The AVR-X6200W lets you enjoy a program source in the Main Zone (the room where the AVR-X6200W is located) and in Zone 2 and Zone 3. The source can be the same for all zones, or you can enjoy different sources in those zones if you prefer. The sources for the zones can be either analogue or 2 channel digital PCM sources (incl. optical, coaxial, HDMI and network).

Smart TV Connectivity

Via the HDMI CEC (consumer electronics control) functionality in your Smart TV, you may be able to control your Denon AVR with the Smart TV's remote control. With “HDMI control” set to ON in your receiver, you can set “Smart Menu” to ON to start controlling your Denon AVR with your Smart TV's remote. The Smart Menu home screen provides you quick access to source and surround mode selections, the AVR’s setup menu, and 4 Quick Selects.

Dual Subwoofer Outputs

With a single subwoofer, optimum placement within the room for the best bass response isn't always possible. Depending on the location, bass response at the main listening position can be uneven with audible peaks and dips. With 2 subwoofers positioned in different locations, response averaging evens out the low bass range for more accurate bass anywhere in the listening area.

Color Coded 4-Way Speaker Terminals

The high quality speaker terminals feature multi-way connection capability to handle a number of speaker cable terminations including banana plugs. They're also color coded for correct hookup the very first time and color coded speaker cable labels are included.

Convenient USB Port

The convenient front panel USB port stream tunes directly from your iPod touch, iPhone and iPad and charge your device at the same time. You can also connect a USB drive and listen to MP3 and WAV files, and the AVR-X6200W features high resolution audio file compatibility, including DSD (2.8 MHz) and FLAC lossless decoding up to 24-bit/192-kHz.

Easy To Use Quick Select Functions

There are 4 Quick Select function buttons on the front panel and the remote control. These let you choose your favorite sources and each one remembers your preferred sound mode for that source.

Denon HEOS Link IP Control

Denon's acclaimed HEOS whole home audio system features advanced multi-room, multi-source audio streaming, and the AVR-X6200W features IP control capability with the HEOS Link, so you can control the receiver with the HEOS app.

External Control Capabilities

The AVR-X6200W is equipped with a range of features that provide enhanced control capabilities and compatibility with 3rd party and custom integration solutions. For remote control compatibility with other components in your home theater system, the AVR-X6200W features an IR (infrared) remote control input and remote control output on the rear panel, along with dual 12V trigger outputs.

The AVR-X6200W can also be set up and operated by a home computer on the network via IP control, either via wired LAN connection or via Wi-Fi wireless connection. For direct connection to external home automation and control equipment, the AVR-X6200W is equipped with an RS-232C serial port.
